Data Cabling and Structured Cabling in Sydney
Physical security + telecom-grade data cabling, one licensed team
Your network is only as reliable as the cabling under it. We install data cabling, including Cat6, Cat6A and fibre optic, for offices, warehouses and multi-building sites across Sydney, built to carry business traffic, 4K CCTV and access control without bottlenecks.
- 12+ years' experience
- NSW ML 000111638
- Vetted, background-checked technicians
- Work to Australian Standards
Structured cabling for offices and fit-outs
Whether it is a new fit-out, an expansion or a tidy-up of years of ad-hoc cabling, we design a structured system: patch panels, labelled outlets and a documented layout that makes future changes faster and cheaper.
Bring us in before the ceilings and walls close. It is the easiest and lowest-cost time to get data cabling right.
- Cat6 and Cat6A data points for desks, Wi-Fi access points and devices
- Comms room and rack builds with patch panels and cable management
- Labelling and documentation for every run
- Testing of every cable before handover
Fibre optic installation
Copper Ethernet is limited to around 100 metres per run. For long warehouse runs, links between buildings, or high-capacity backbones, we install fibre optic cabling that carries data over much longer distances without signal loss.
Network cabling built for security systems
Security cameras, access control readers and intercoms all depend on the network. We plan Power over Ethernet (PoE) budgets and separate security traffic from business traffic where needed, so cameras don't reboot or drop footage when the network is busy.
Because the same team installs both the cabling and the security equipment, there is one point of accountability if anything needs attention.
Areas we service
We install data cabling across Greater Sydney, except the Blue Mountains, the Hawkesbury and Wollondilly.
One team, one point of accountability
Unotel Security installs both the network and the security systems, so you never have to coordinate separate IT and security contractors or referee who is responsible when something stops working.
The network backbone
Structured cabling, fibre and telecommunications.
The security systems
CCTV, alarms, access control and cloud intercoms, under UNOTEL Pty Ltd's NSW Master Security Licence.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between Cat6 and Cat6A?
Both are suitable for most offices. Cat6A supports higher speeds over the full 100 metre run and handles interference better, so it is a good choice for new builds, Wi-Fi access points and future upgrades.
When do I need fibre instead of copper cabling?
When a run is longer than about 100 metres, when you are connecting separate buildings, or when you need a high-capacity backbone between comms rooms.
Can you fix messy existing cabling?
Yes. We can re-terminate, label and document existing data cabling, and replace only the runs that fail testing.
